I became deeply called to Reiki over 25 years ago and received my Level I and II Reiki attunements from two very compassionate and gifted Reiki Masters in Asheville, NC, Barbara and Peter Johnson, who had received their Reiki attunements from the direct lineage of Hawayo Takata. I have since received my Level III Reiki Master level attunements so that I may continue to share and teach this powerful spiritual gift with others.

Reiki (Ray-Key) is a natural form of hands-on healing, originating in India and the East dating back many thousands of years. The sacred knowledge and techniques were passed down through generations through word of mouth, but was lost until the healing energy and symbols were channeled by Dr Mikao Usui, a Japanese scholar and monk during the mid-1800's. 

Reiki Healing was originally available only to the people of the East. It came to the West through Hawaii, carried by the first female Reiki Master, Hawayo Takata. originally utilized Reiki Healing Energy to heal herself and was so pleased with the results she chose to train in Reiki so she could offer the same opportunity to others. 

The ability to become a Reiki Healer is passed from each Reiki Master to each Reiki student using Sacred Attunements. These are the same Attunements used by Dr Usui to awaken the first Reiki Healers.

Reiki energy can be applied to the recipient in person or from a distance, with permission from the recipient. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance flowing through and around you. Reiki is a holistic, non-invasive practice that treats the whole person - body, mind, emotions and spirit. The beneficial effects include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Reiki is useful for all conditions as it allows the intelligence of the body to remember how to heal itself. 

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can use. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and malady and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery. Many people have reported miraculous results. 

While Reiki is spiritual in nature, it is not a religion. It has no dogma, and there is nothing you must believe in order to learn and use Reiki.  Dr. Usui did however recommend that one practice certain simple ethical ideals to promote peace and harmony within and without.

My hope and desire is to offer this powerful, yet gentle system of healing to my clients near and far to help them heal and recover from physical, mental and emotional imbalances and to help them align with their heart's path and desire.
