Core Integrity Yoga
Core Integrity Yoga & Mindfulness for Inner Peace, Empowerment, Balance & Wellbeing
I am a dedicated and passionate teacher and student of all 8 limbs of Hatha Yoga, seeking to share the Yoga philosophy, tradition, lifestyle and tools with students of all ages and physical conditions for the purpose of stress and pain relief, emotional balance, addiction recovery and personal fitness with over 25 years of yoga education, practice and teaching.
I created Core Integrity Yoga, a functional anatomy-based, core-centered, trauma-informed approach to Yoga in order to respond to the individual physical and emotional needs and desires of my students, and a growing need within the yoga community to offer a safe, adaptable, trauma-sensitive approach to yoga, meditation, and mindfulness instruction.
Based on the core principals of Sivananda Hatha Yoga, Core Integrity Yoga Integrates Core Strength Vinyasa and Trauma-Informed Yoga into the practice, for an intuitive, creative, and therapeutic Yoga experience, while providing a safe, sacred space for all beings to tune into into their own intentions and reservoir of strength, peace and bliss.
I am a certified IAYT Yoga Therapist, International Association of Yoga Therapists and continue to study, teach and practice a trauma-informed approach to yoga and mindfulness for stress reduction, chronic pain, injury, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress and addiction recovery in order to restore alignment, develop grace, and cultivate strength and balance in the body, mind, heart and spirit.
Over the past 32 years, I have had the privilege to study and train with some gifted and talented teachers: Yamuna Zake (creator of Yamuna® Body Rolling/Body Logic), Amy Weintraub (LifeForce Yoga - Yoga for Depression), Hala Khouri (Yoga for emotional Stress and Trauma, Off the Mat & Into the World), Dharma Richards (Yoga Warriors International™ - Yoga for Veterans w/PTSD), Sadie Nardini (Core Strength Vinyasa), Seane Corn (Off the Mat & Into the World), Suzanne Sterling (OTM, Voice of Change), Leslie Kaminoff (Yoga Anatomy), Angela Farmer (Yoga from the Inside Out), Lorrie Conglose (Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Certified Yoga Therapist & Educator, Ayurvedic Lifestyle Counselor, and former director of Vastu Yoga) and Kim Nichols Cech (Director/ Owner at Yoga Chandra Center for the Healing Arts)
